Speech Therapist (Pre-K)

Compensation : $80 per hour
Location : Pennsauken, NJ 08109
About the Role :
As a Speech Therapist, you will provide essential speech and language services to students, helping them overcome communication challenges through individualized therapy and collaboration with educators, families, and the Child Study Team. Your expertise will support students’ growth and success both inside and outside the classroom.
Key Responsibilities :
- Develop and implement lesson plans tailored to students’ speech and language needs
- Evaluate student progress and prepare detailed reports as required
- Collaborate with professional staff to identify student needs and assist with school-related challenges
- Enforce school policies, administrative regulations, and board guidelines
- Maintain clear and ongoing communication with parents, administrators, and staff to best support students
- Evaluate referrals for speech correction services and determine eligibility
- Provide speech and language therapy according to students’ Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
- Serve as a Child Study Team member when assigned, offering consultative and evaluation expertise
- Assist in developing evaluation plans and participate in assessments in compliance with state regulations
- Write comprehensive speech and language assessment reports detailing student performance and development
- Act as a consultant to administrators and professional staff on speech therapy matters relating to student performance
- Participate in School Resource Committees as needed
- Guide families on speech and language issues, including private evaluations and therapy options
- Follow all professional duties as outlined in the CST Department Employee Guidelines Manual
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Student Support Services or designee
