As a Quality Assurance Automation Engineer at Alcumus, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our SaaS solutions. Please note - experience in Automation using Playwright or Cypress is essential for this role.

What that means day-to-day :

• Test Planning : Collaborate with the development, products, and scrum teams to understand project requirements, define test strategies, and develop comprehensive test plans.
• Test Case Development : Design, document, and maintain detailed test cases and test scenarios to validate functionality, customizations, and integrations.
• Manual Testing : Perform thorough manual testing of applications, identifying and documenting defects, and working closely with developers to ensure timely resolution.
• Automation Testing : Develop and maintain automated test scripts using industry-standard tools and frameworks to improve testing efficiency, coverage, and repeatability.
• API & Data Validation : Design and execute tests to validate APIs, data flows, and system integrations, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and security of data across services and environments. Collaborate with developers to troubleshoot and resolve interface and data-related issues.
• CI / CD Integration : Integrate automated tests into the CI / CD pipeline to ensure rapid and reliable feedback on code quality. Work closely with DevOps and engineering teams to enable continuous testing and maintain test stability in dynamic deployment environments.
• Performance Testing : Evaluate the performance and scalability of applications, identify potential bottlenecks, and recommend optimizations to improve performance.
• User Acceptance Testing (UAT) : Coordinate and conduct UAT sessions with business stakeholders to validate that the solutions meet their needs and expectations.
• Defect Management : Track, manage, and report defects using a defect tracking system, ensuring that all issues are addressed and resolved in a timely manner.
• Continuous Improvement : Stay updated with the latest Salesforce features, best practices, and industry trends to continuously enhance testing processes and methodologies.
• Collaboration : Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and delivery of high-quality Salesforce solutions.
• Documentation : Prepare and maintain comprehensive documentation of test plans, test cases, test results, and defects to ensure transparency and traceability.
• Risk Assessment : Identify potential risks and issues related to Salesforce implementations and provide recommendations for mitigation.
• Training and Mentoring : Provide guidance and support to junior team members, sharing knowledge and best practices to enhance the overall testing capability of the team.
• Test Environment Management : Set up and manage test environments, including configuring Salesforce sandboxes and ensuring data integrity.
• Reporting : Generate and distribute test execution status reports, highlighting key metrics, test coverage, and defect trends.

What you'll need to be successful :

Education : Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Experience : Minimum of 5 years of experience in software testing, with at least 2 years focused on Automation.

Technical Skills :

o Proficiency in automating applications, preferably with Playwright / Cypress and CI / CD Integration

o Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, tools, and processes.

o Ability to write clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts.

o Familiarity with defect tracking and test management systems, such as TestRail, JIRA.

o Experience with Agile / Scrum methodologies and participating in Agile development teams

Soft Skills :

o Strong communication and collaboration abilities, with the capability to work effectively in a team environment.

o Attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work.

o Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
