Job descriptionStart Month : ASAP Estimated Length of Assignment : 6 months minimum Patient Demographics : Adults Patient Volume / Census : Approximately 35 patients per day; 13,000 annual volume Admissions : 6.2% Case Mix : Emergency cases, including EMS patients (6.4%) Trauma Level : No Trauma EMR System : Epic Office Equipment Available : Standard hospital equipment Support Staff Available : 24 NPPAs Reason for Coverage : Full-time vacancy Hospital Privileges Required : Yes Temporary Privileges Available : Yes, issued after receipt of required documents (references, NPDB, background check, education and board verifications) Credentialing Timeline : 45–60 days Expedited Locum Privileges : Not available Days to Credential : 60 days Travel, Lodging, and Malpractice Insurance : Covered Emergency procedures within NP scope ACLS, PALS, ATLS required Licenses : Active New York license and NY DEA required Board : Certified by ANCC, AANP, or NCCPA DEA : Active DEA certification (NY-specific) Certifications : ACLS, PALS, ATLS (AHA) Experience : Prior emergency medicine experience preferred Other Qualifications : Must complete onboarding requirements including documentation (PPD, flu, diplomas, certificates, CME, case logs, etc.) Provide emergency department coverage for adult patients Manage 35 patients per day in a 13K annual volume ED Collaborate with nursing staff, support team, and physicians as needed Document all patient encounters in EPIC EMR Participate in facility orientation and adhere to all compliance requirements
