Position Overview
Schedule : Monday–Friday, 7 : 30 am - 3 : 30 pm (with some flexiblity)
Employment Type : Year-round Full-time
Pay Range : $20–$25.50 per hour
The Rabbi Steven Foster Early Learning Center is seeking a reflective, nurturing, and collaborative coach to join our vibrant educational team. We are looking for someone who is confident in working with our educators to grow their practice in a reflective format through relationships and collaboration.

Key Responsibilities
Professional Development of Self and Others
- Attend all required meetings and trainings for Rabbi Steven Foster ELC
- Understand and support the vision and mission of Rabbi Steven Foster ELC at Temple Emanuel
- Support educators with their understanding of ‘Reggio Emilia’
- Support educators with the set-up of their classrooms, paying close attention to licensing requirements and keeping true the vision of the school
Supervision / Management of Educators
Regularly visits classrooms to ensure compliance with licensing requirements and school standards.Create and provide training to support improved understanding as neededWork in partnership with the School Director and administrative team to provide consistent feedback to educators, as well as evaluate, set goals and document performanceEnsure that all performance documentation takes place in a timely and accurate manner and is kept in personnel filesLeverage strengths of others to develop an effective teamUnderstands and assists staff members with developmentally appropriate practice in Early Childhood EducationLead and inspire staff to accomplish the goals of the school. Manage a growth mindset culture in the acquisition of those goalsIn collaboration with the School Director, engages in ongoing reflection, assessment and fine-tuning of the schoolProvide hands-on assistance to staff facing behavioral or academic challenges with individual students. Support staff in creating individualized education plans for students with behavioral or academic challenges. Schedules follow up meetings and takes part in any conversation with familiesSupport staff with communication to familiesBenefits

Large Center Director QualificationsEarly Childhood Lead Teacher Qualified and / or Level 3 Credential on PDIS1-5 years of mentoring and or coaching in Early Childhood EducationStrong understanding of emergent curriculum and child-centered learningCommitment to fostering a warm, inclusive, and respectful environmentComfort integrating Jewish values into classroom experiences (Hebrew is not required)Physical Requirements
