The Assistant Housing Director is responsible for assisting the Housing Director in managing the daily operations of Housing with Services and acts as the Housing Director in their absence. This position supervises departments as directed by the Housing Director. This position is responsible for people services and business office functions, resident and family satisfaction, financial oversight, and census development.

About Us : Ecumen Brooks and Ecumen Countryside in Owatonna, MN, are hiring an Assistant Housing Director to help lead two vibrant senior living communitiesBrooks with 38 assisted living apartments and 12 memory care residences, and Countryside with 61 assisted living apartments. Schedule : Full-Time. Monday - Friday, typical business hours. Hours can vary based on business needs. Leader on Duty rotation included in schedule.

Pay : The targeted pay range for this job is $70,000 - $80,000 per year. Ecumen considers a variety of factors when determining new hire pay including experience, qualifications, and, when applicable, certifications, licenses, and education.

Essential Job Responsibilities :

• Assists the Housing Director with daily operations, staff supervision, and budget management
• Supports hiring, onboarding, and staff development in partnership with Talent Acquisition
• Leads efforts to improve recruitment, retention, and employee engagement
• Provides guidance on staff-related issues and ensures fair, consistent policy application
• Oversees HR functions such as benefits, compensation, and compliance reporting
• Ensures safety and regulatory compliance through routine inspections and prompt issue resolution
• Maintains open communication with residents and staff to support satisfaction and quality care
• Performs other duties as assigned

Driving Requirements : Local Travel Required
