About the Role
We are supporting a leading global healthcare and medical device company in hiring a detail-oriented Test Engineering Technician . In this role, you will support product reliability by conducting hands-on electrical, mechanical, and environmental testing of electromechanical medical devices. You will work directly with engineers and lab leadership to ensure new and existing products meet safety and performance standards.
What You’ll Do
- Set up, perform, and monitor testing activities in the Reliability Test Lab.
- Follow test procedures and safety guidelines provided by managers and engineers.
- Collect and record test data, create reports, and communicate results to engineering teams.
- Perform destructive testing (“test to failure”) to identify product limits and weaknesses.
- Support verification and validation of product updates and competitive product testing.
- Assist engineers in product failure analysis and suggest design improvements.
- Operate a variety of test equipment, including environmental chambers, gauges, meters, and product-specific instruments.
- Document test setups and configurations to ensure consistency and traceability.
What We’re Looking For
1–2 years of hands-on electrical or mechanical experience (internship or lab experience counts).Associate’s degree in a technical field preferred; High School diploma or equivalent required.Background in testing, instrumentation, or lab work (6+ years of experience strongly preferred).Knowledge of electromechanical systems and ability to identify abnormalities.Skilled in using test and measurement equipment (micrometers, calipers, gauges, meters, etc.).Familiarity with pneumatics, schematics, and engineering drawings.Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.Bonus skills : environmental testing (shock, vibration, temperature, humidity), PLCs, Ladder Logic, microcontrollers.Why Join Us
