The Quality Control Manager is responsible for maintaining quality standards and production goals efficiently and professionally while meeting our Company standards and policies. The Quality Control Manager provides support to the Engineering Department, Plant Manager, Inspectors, and clients.
Duties / Responsibilities :
- Ensure a safe work environment in the plant and the office
- Oversee the daily workflow and department schedules
- Oversee hiring, training, and conduct staff performance evaluations, including disciplinary action according to company policies
- Provide leadership to the QC department
- Facilitate communication among the production, QC, and other departments
- Understand the project specifications, plans, and related documents regarding Quality Control
- Ensure products are manufactured in accordance with the project specifications and industry standards
- Prepare and maintain Product Defect Report summary on a weekly basis
Maintain current certifications :
Plant : PCI Plant CertificationConcrete Batch Plant : Annual certificate, scale calibration, water test and calibration, ad mixture dispenser calibration, etc.QC Lab : Lab certification and lab equipment calibrationQC Personnel : Ensure QC personnel PCI and ACI certifications are currentStressing Rams : Ensure the rams are calibrated and maintained as requiredEnsure QC reports are well organized, accurate, and completed in a timely manner as required by the project
Education and Experience :
Bachelors degree with five years of applicable experience or Associate degree with related coursework, preferredACI Certification, at minimum ACI Concrete Field Testing Technician Grade 1, as well as any additional certification to be able to step into any Quality Control position.PCI Level II with a minimum of five (5) years of precast / prestressed concrete experience orPCI Level III with three (3) years of job-related experience
