Unit Description :
Interventional Radiology nurses play a crucial role in the patient experience during minimally invasive, image-guided procedures.
IR nurses are responsible for demonstrating critical thinking and time management skills specific to procedural nursing ; p erforming comprehensive patient assessments that, under the direction of IR providers, guide patient care and intervention implementation- in routine and critical clinical circumstances ; m anaging their patients hemodynamic and respiratory status ; accurately documenting in EPIC; utilizing and troubleshooting invasive monitoring devices; Call includes one weekend (Friday evening-Monday morning) and four weekdays (Monday through Thursday) every nine weeks. Greater than two years of experience as an RN is required . Previous experience in the administration and monitoring of patients receiving moderate sedation is recommended. Nursing experience in critical care nursing is preferred.
