Service Department Cashier
Sterling Hyundai Genesis of Lafayette, LA is seeking a Service Department Cashier to join our team! As a Service Department Cashier, you will be the final point of contact for customers during their service experience. You'll process payments, ensure customer satisfaction, and maintain a professional and welcoming environment. This is a versatile position that is cross trained to assist the Service Department with the completion of various daily tasks.
Key Responsibilities :
- Greet customers in a friendly and professional manner
- Process payments accurately, including cash, credit card, and check transactions
- Provide clear explanations of invoices and services performed
- Answer customer inquiries or direct them to the appropriate department
- Maintain and balance cash drawer and receipts
- Answer and direct calls appropriately using a multi-line phone system
- Serve as a backup for our main receptionist as needed
- Assist with administrative tasks, including filing, data entry, and appointment scheduling
- Collaborate with service advisors, technicians, and other team members to ensure smooth operations
- Uphold dealership standards for customer service and professionalism
Job Requirements & Qualifications :
Previous cashier or customer service experience preferred, ideally in an automotive or retail environmentStrong interpersonal and communication skillsProficiency in basic math and handling monetary transactionsFamiliarity with dealership management systems (preferred but not required; training provided)Ability to multitask and remain organized in a fast-paced environmentPositive attitude and commitment to providing excellent customer serviceHigh school diploma or equivalent is requiredMust be willing to submit to pre-employment background check & drug screenMust have a valid driver's license with a clean driving record, and be at least 18 years of ageSchedule : Full-time, Monday-Friday 8 : 30AM-5 : 30PM, some Saturdays from 8 : 00AM-12 : 00PM
