Job Description

American Traveler is seeking a Cat Scan Technologist with ARRT (CT), New Jersey X-Ray License, and BLS certification to work evening shifts and perform advanced CT imaging.

Responsibilities

  • Position based in a hospital CV imaging department with shifts from 2 : 00 PM to 10 : 00 PM, five days per week
  • Evening shift with 8-hour days and a 40-hour workweek
  • Assignment includes primary facility and may require floating to a nearby sister hospital
  • Patient caseload includes emergent and scheduled CT procedures, including trauma and code cases
  • Use of 3 CT rooms and specialized CT equipment for various diagnostic and interventional procedures
  • Uses EPIC for charting; EPIC experience preferred but not required
  • Responsibilities include professional performance of CT procedures, maintaining sterility, preparing requisitions, and patient communication
  • Ensures availability of patient records and coordinates with radiology staff regarding emergent findings
  • Adheres to QA / QC standards, equipment maintenance, and cleaning protocols for CT rooms and equipment
  • Participates in daily inventory, supply maintenance, and workflow coordination, including triaging unscheduled procedures
  • Expected to follow HIPAA regulations and maintain patient privacy
  • Scrubs or dress code requirements may apply

    • Requirements

  • Active ARRT RT (R) and ARRT RT (CT) certifications required
  • New Jersey State X-Ray License (NJDEP) and active NJ license required if applicable
  • Current BLS certification required
  • Completion of Radiographer technical training program and high school diploma or GED required
  • Must screen for contrast allergies and monitor patient response to contrast administration
  • Must live at least 50 miles from the facility; local candidates not accepted
