Location : Columbia, MO

Salary : $43,888 annually

Schedule : This is primarily a Monday-Friday day-time schedule with some weekend availability needed.

Lead, Create, and Inspire in a Child-Focused Kitchen

At KVC Missouri’s Columbia Residential Campus, our Food Services Manager plays a key role in the heart of the house. This is a hands-on leadership position where you’ll oversee food service operations, support a team of kitchen staff, and ensure our children receive nutritious, comforting meals every day.

You’ll have the autonomy to make the kitchen your own, balancing administrative responsibilities with the opportunity to directly support meal service. From purchasing supplies and managing inventory to accounting for meals and coordinating donations, your leadership ensures the kitchen runs smoothly and meets both internal and external compliance standards.

What You’ll Do

Oversee daily operations of the kitchen and assign tasks to food service staff

Purchase and manage food and non-food supplies, including in-kind donations

Accurately track and report meals served monthly

Maintain compliance with health department and DESE regulations

Support direct meal service and ensure quality and consistency

Assist with staff training and professional development

What We’re Looking For

High school diploma or GED equivalent

Minimum of 8 years of food service experience

ServSafe certification

Must be 21+ with a valid driver’s license and auto insurance

Pre-employment drug screen, physical, and background check required

Preferred : experience working with children / families in trauma-informed settings, previous supervisory experience
