ER RN Job Details – Burlington, NC Location : Burlington, North Carolina 27215 Assignment Length : 13-week travel contract Start Date : January 6, 2026 End Date : April 7, 2026 Shift : 3x12-hour night shifts (7 : 00 PM – 7 : 00 AM; occasional 3 : 00 PM – 3 : 00 AM as needed) Hours per Week : 36 Weekend / Holiday Coverage : Up to every other weekend and holidays as needed On-Site Registered Nurse Position Estimated Weekly Salary : $1820-$1870 per week Emergency Room Nurse Qualifications Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Room RN experience required (first-time travel nurses welcome!) Active, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license – North Carolina or compact state Current BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, and PALS certifications EPIC EMR charting experience required Experience in STEMI and Stroke certified healthcare facilities required Must pass EKG exam during compliance (2 attempts allowed) COVID-19 and Flu vaccinations required (medical / religious exemptions considered) Ability to provide clinical care for all age groups : neonates, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics Flexible with scheduling and able to float to other hospital campuses if needed ER RN Responsibilities Deliver high-quality emergency nursing care to a diverse patient population, including trauma, cardiac, stroke, behavioral health, and medical emergencies Perform triage, assessment, and interventions for patients of all ages in a fast-paced emergency department Administer medications, blood products, and IV therapies as part of clinical support Monitor and manage patients requiring ventilators, sedation, and advanced cardiac life support (ACLS) Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including IV teams, respiratory therapy, radiology, and pharmacy Document patient care accurately using EPIC electronic medical records (EMR) Participate in department meetings, orientation, and required training modules Maintain compliance with hospital policies, including attendance and timely completion of all onboarding requirements Take the next step in your ER nursing career—apply now for this rewarding Emergency Room Registered Nurse travel job in Burlington, North Carolina!
