Senior Sterile Processing Technician

Description

The Sterile Processing Technician is responsible for all task-based Central Services activities. Central Services activities include, but are not limited to : decontamination, assembly, and sterilization of surgical instrumentation, assembly and delivery of surgical and interventional procedure case carts, paring and replenishment of materials, and receiving and distribution of Central Services supplies.

Required Qualifications :

• Coursework / Training and Completion of formal Central Services Technician course or successfully challenged Course test.
• Upon hire :
• National Certified Registered Central Service Technician - Healthcare Sterile Processing Association or-
• National Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician - Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution
• 3 years of related experience with surgical instrumentation in hospital Sterile Processing / Central Services environment.
