About The Position

Job Title : Operating Room Registered Nurse

License : New York RN license required

Certifications : BLS required; ACLS preferred; CNOR preferred

Must-Have :

Previous Charge Experience preferred

Community hospital experience required

Electronic Documentation experience with EPIC preferred

Description :

The position requires working in a fast-paced Operating Room environment.

The focus will be on delivering care to patients of all age groups, including pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics.

Call coverage is required, along with weekend coverage every other weekend.

The unit provides a variety of surgical procedures including general, trauma, thoracic, gynecology, neurology, orthopedic, plastic, podiatry, robotic, and trauma surgeries.

Experience with various surgical techniques such as appendectomy, cholecystectomy, craniotomy, and total joint replacement is needed.

Candidates should be skilled in scrub procedures for surgeries across multiple specialties.

Teaching hospital experience is preferred but not required.

Candidates must be able to handle emergencies and traumatic events in the operating room.

The role involves working closely with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Compliance with standard protocols and safety measures is essential for this role.

All personnel must maintain a focus on patient-centered care throughout their practice.
