Pharmacy Technician

SUMMARY

This position is looking for a Certified Pharmacy Technician to join the Atrius team at our site in Braintree, MA site with a full time schedule with availability during open business hours of Mon-Fri 8-6p Sat / Sun 10-5 and rotating holidays. Performs a wide range of routine and complex pharmaceutical duties in support of pharmacy operations. Assumes a lead role among support staff within the pharmacy. Relieves the Pharmacist of duties related to the intake of new prescription information and the handling of Schedule II controlled substances per MA Board of Pharmacy regulations. Must possess Pharmacy Technician Registration, as required by the Massachusetts Pharmacy Board of Registration as well as National Pharmacy Training Certification.

EDUCATION / LICENSES / CERTIFICATIONS

• High School diploma or equivalency certificate (, HiSET, TASC Test) from an accredited institution or governmental unit required.
• Graduate of an approved pharmacy technician program or institutional / retail pharmacy experience.
• Must currently be a Certified Pharmacy Technician in the state of Massachusetts with an active pharmacy technician license without restrictions from the MA Board of Pharmacy.
• Must currently have an active National Pharmacy Training Certification without restrictions.
• Must complete Certified Pharmacy Technician Continuing Education (CE) credits per calendar year as required by National Pharmacy Technician Certification and in accordance with Pharmacy Staff License Monitoring and Maintenance of Credentials Policy.

EXPERIENCE

All Pharmacy Department applicants, (excluding Clinical Pharmacy) who are offered a job with Atrius Health will be tested for drugs as part of the post job offer employment screening process. Any applicant who tests positive for illegal drug use will not be hired.
