Outdoor Child Educator for Nature Programs

Greenwich Botanical Center in New York, NY is seeking a dedicated Outdoor Child Educator for our Forest Days program scheduled to start on Tuesday, January 20, 2026, at 10:00 AM and end on Wednesday, May 20, 2026, at 12:00 AM. This role focuses on two programs: Little Rangers for ages 3-5 on Wednesdays from 12:15 PM to 3:15 PM, and Midday Adventurers for Homeschoolers for ages 5-8 on Tuesdays from 11:45 AM to 2:45 PM. The ideal candidate will enjoy fostering child-led play and exploration outdoors, be skilled in creating inclusive learning environments, and have a strong appreciation for nature. Responsibilities include developing and conducting outdoor activities, ensuring group safety, and maintaining program materials. Candidates should have at least two years of experience working with young children, hold infant/child CPR and First Aid certification, and successfully pass a full background check. This opportunity requires enthusiasm, adaptability, and a passion for connecting children to the natural world. No driving, feeding, bathing, or bedtime duties are required.
