Automotive service technician

Description of the Role Chevrolet Of Troy is seeking a skilled Automotive Service Technician to join our team. As a key member of our service department, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining vehicles to ensure they run smoothly and efficiently. Starting at $30 per hour.

Responsibilities

Perform routine maintenance tasks, including oil changes, tire rotations, and brake inspections

Determine the root cause of vehicle problems and propose solutions

Repair or replace vehicle parts as needed

Test vehicles to ensure repairs are completed successfully

Keep detailed records of all work performed

Requirements

Proven experience as an Automotive Service Technician

Strong knowledge of vehicle diagnostics and repair procedures

Excellent attention to detail

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Certification from an accredited automotive technology program (preferred but not required)
