Location : Petersburg, VA 23805 (Virginia nursing jobs)\n

Unit : Medical / Surgical Telemetry Unit 4W\n

Employment Type : Travel Registered Nurse Contract\n

Shift : 12-Hour Nights (every other weekend & major holidays required)\n

Hours per Week : 36\n

Contract Duration : 13 weeks (Start : 10 / 20 / 2025, End : 1 / 17 / 2026)\n

Estimated Weekly Salary : $1780 - $1910 per week\n

Floating : May float to other Med / Surg units as needed\n

Patient Population : Pre / Post Cath, mixed telemetry, post-stroke, atrial fibrillation (Afib), CHF exacerbation, and more\n

\n\nRegistered Nurse Qualifications\n \n

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Virginia or compact state (Virginia RN jobs)\n

Minimum 1 year of recent acute care RN experience\n

Telemetry nursing experience required\n

At least 1 year of travel nursing experience preferred\n

Certifications : NIHSS, ACLS, BLS (must be obtained prior to direct patient care)\n

Successful completion of Dysrhythmia exam (study guide available)\n

EPIC EHR experience preferred\n

Ability to float to other Med / Surg units as needed\n

Travel nurse candidates only (must reside at least 50 miles from facility)\n

\n\nTelemetry RN Responsibilities\n \n

Perform initial and ongoing patient assessments; develop individualized care plans\n

Administer medications and manage non-titratable drips (Amiodarone, Cardizem, Nitro, Heparin)\n

Monitor and interpret telemetry readings; respond to changes in patient condition\n

Coordinate care with interdisciplinary healthcare teams\n

Educate and advocate for patients and their families\n

Float to other Med / Surg units as required\n

Utilize clinical equipment : Alaris pumps, LifPak Defib monitors, Hoyer lifts, Glucometers, Dynamaps, Kangaroo pumps\n

Maintain professionalism and adhere to infection control and safety protocols\n

Participate in quality improvement initiatives and maintain accurate documentation in EPIC\n
