About The Position

Job Title : Speech-Language Pathologist

Profession : Speech and Language Pathology

Experience : 1 year of SLP experience required; LTC or Rehab experience required

License : Valid, unrestricted license in state

Certifications : CCC certified SLP required

Must-Have :

Knowledge of skilled nursing home regulations, procedures, laws, and guidelines pertaining to long-term care

Description :

Speech therapists develop treatment plans to improve swallowing, cognitive and communication abilities, and to decrease aspirations.

Communication treatment plans may include techniques that help the individual to be better understood and to help them better understand others.

The Speech-Language Pathologist leads, guides, and directs the delivery of speech-language pathology and audiology services in the facility.

Services must align with local, state, and federal regulations, standards, and established facility policies and procedures.

The goal is to provide appropriate care and services to residents.
