Job description

Warehouse Operator

The Warehouse Operator is responsible for handling, moving, loading, and unloading materials using a forklift or other warehouse equipment. This role involves maintaining accurate inventory records, ensuring efficient shipping and receiving operations, and upholding safety and organizational standards within the warehouse.

Specific Duties, Activities, and Responsibilities

  • Enter and manage receipts accurately in WASP, ensuring data integrity.
  • Create labels for new bin locations as required.
  • Accept, verify, label, and store incoming receipts from vendors according to procedures.
  • Enter material receipts into the ERP system daily within 24 hours of receipt.
  • Monitor inventory levels and reorder supplies supporting outbound shipments for small packages and large shipments.
  • Prepare, document, and track shipments; provide proof of delivery and resolve courier / customer issues.
  • Assist team members with outbound shipments, document support, scheduling, and tracking.
  • Support objectives for On-Time Delivery and Inspection Readiness.
  • Comply with Health, Safety, and Environmental requirements.
  • Maintain training and annual certifications for DOT, IATA, RCRA, and Forklift operation.

Position Requirements

Education and Experience

  • Minimum High School Diploma or GED required
  • Minimum 2 years inventory management / warehouse experience
  • Forklift certified
  • Knowledge / Skills

  • Previous warehouse experience and knowledge of safety regulations required
  • Familiarity with cGMP practices
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Physical dexterity and forklift experience
  • Computer proficiency and experience with inventory software; Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
