Start Date : January 7th

Pay Range : $28 - $35 / hour (based on experience)

Per Diem : $120 per day worked

Open Roles : 2 Journeyman Fitters (welding experience), 2 Apprentices, 1 Foreman

About the Role

United Trades of America is seeking skilled Pipefitters with welding experience to join our team. We are hiring 2 Journeyman Fitters , 2 Apprentices , and 1 Foreman to work on steel erection, pipe fitting, and conveyor system installations in Mount Vernon, IL starting January 7th . This position requires a strong understanding of mechanical assembly, welding techniques, and structural systems.

The exciting aspect of this project is that all components are pre-labeled , making the work highly organized and efficient-similar to assembling a large-scale jigsaw puzzle. We need individuals with broad mechanical assembly knowledge and proven experience in welding and pipe fitting.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, fit, and install pipe systems , steel structures, and conveyor systems according to blueprints and specifications.
• Perform welding tasks as required to ensure secure, precise installations.
• Supervise and lead team members (Foreman role), ensuring safety, efficiency, and quality work.
• Interpret labeled components to streamline assembly and project progress.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and worksite cleanliness to ensure a safe environment.
• Collaborate with the project team to meet deadlines and resolve issues as needed.
