Job description

Overview

We are Lockheed Martin. This req is for a level 4 AGM Weapons System Portfolio Design and Integration Leader. This candidate will be responsible for integration and design oversight of all aspects of weapon system design for various strike weapon and other weapon system development efforts.

The Lockheed Martin Skunk Works is a national asset that tackles the toughest technical challenges and makes a real difference for our customers. This position is located at a facility that requires special access; selected applicant will require secret security clearance to start.

Responsibilities

  • Lead integration and design oversight of weapon system design for strike weapon and other weapon system development efforts.
  • Participate in and support multi-disciplinary system trade studies across a wide variety of vehicle types and systems.
  • Integrate multiple disciplines including aerodynamics (including hypersonic), materials and processes, computer aided design (preferably CATIA V5), structural analysis, propulsion (rocket and air-breathing), thermodynamics, electronics and controls, and actuation systems.
  • Familiarity with weapon system types including air-breathing, hypersonic, and boost-glider platforms.
  • Coordinate with and support fabrication, assembly, MRB, quality, and supply chain aspects of Production Operations.
  • Generate and present technical and administrative materials to customers and internal teammates.
  • Support BA capture activities, program planning, proposal development including cost estimation, schedule / planning development, and Basis of Estimate (BoE) generation.
  • Lead cross-discipline technical teams at IPT lead level.

Qualifications

  • Experience leading design teams.
  • Experience in airframe structure design and analysis.
  • Experience with metallic and composite design.
  • Experience with CATIA V5 and / or 3DX.
  • Desirable Skills

  • Experience working with LM BAs.
  • Experience interacting with suppliers, external customers and Production Operations.
  • Experience with proposal development.
  • MRB coordination and support.
  • Experience with hand stress analysis.
  • Experience with hypersonic boost-glide systems.
  • Salary and Benefits

    National Pay Statement : Pay Rate ranges vary by location. For California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC the range is $104,500 - $184,115. For other states, the range reflects the final work location. Salary information is a general guideline and factors include scope, responsibilities, experience, education / training, key skills, market and business considerations. Benefits include Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short-Term and Long-Term Disability, 401(k) match, Flexible Spending Accounts, EAP, Education Assistance, Parental Leave, Paid time off, Holidays; details may vary by location. Premium Pay statements provide additional ranges where applicable. This position is incentive plan eligible.

    Schedule

    Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five-day work week to condensed schedules offering additional time away from the office, in addition to Paid Time Off benefits.
