District Aide (District 56)

State Representative Brad Yeager is now accepting applications in his New Port Richey, Florida office to assist with a variety of administrative and public relations matters requiring a thorough understanding of the policies, procedures, and operating practices of the Florida Legislature.

Salary : Annual $47,364

The Legislature offers a competitive benefits package. This position is not eligible for remote work.

Primary Responsibilities :

• Knowledge and application of House Rules, Protocol, House-specific Applications, House Administrative Policies and the Legislature's Joint Policies and Procedures.
• Constituent Management
• Day-to-day Operations : Monthly Bills, Office Files, Office Property, Office Supplies, Office Communications
• Prepare Monthly and Quarterly Reports
• Manage Office Expense Accounts and Travel System
• Required Legislative Filings
• Municipal, County, and Regional Issues Related to the District
• Community and Public Outreach
• Mandatory Trainings as Assigned

Examples of Work Performed :

Minimum Qualifications :

An Associate's Degree from an accredited college or university and two years of administrative experience.

Professional administrative experience can substitute on a year-for-year basis for the required college education.
