Job Title : Studio Director (MEP)
Location : Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex
CornerStone Professional Placement has partnered with a dynamic and fast-paced Architectural Firm that is seeking a Studio Director (MEP) to lead their high-volume studio focused on quick serve restaurants, retail and some commercial development projects. This is a strategic leadership role responsible for driving project delivery, team development, and studio growth. The ideal candidate is a servant leader with strong organizational and communication skills, who thrives in a deadline-driven environment and brings a solutions-oriented mindset.
Responsibilities :
- Lead and manage the overall success and development of the studio team
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients and projects under studio oversight
- Collaborate with SPMs, PMs, and PCs to align resource allocation and project planning
- Oversee project execution from kickoff through permitting, typically within a 6-week turnaround
- Ensure team compliance with company standards, quality, and timelines across 40–50 concurrent projects
- Train and mentor team members on client programs and internal processes
- Review and approve construction drawings and documentation
- Participate in business development, marketing strategies, and client relationship management
- Coordinate staffing assignments and performance evaluations with ownership
- Contribute to proposal writing, fee development, and budget setting
- Monitor deadlines, budgets, and quality across all projects
- Ensure effective communication, timely meeting documentation, and task delegation
- Lead by example through transparency, accountability, and collaboration
Requirements :
5–10 years of experience in the architecture or design industry, preferably with high-volume projectsProven leadership experience in managing teams and driving studio successLicensed Architect strongly preferredExpertise in AutoCAD required; Photoshop for 2D color elevations is a plusStrong understanding of MEP systems and permitting processesExperience in working with Quick Serve Restaurants, local developers, or shopping centers is a plusComfortable with fast turnaround timelines and a high-volume workloadDetail-oriented, flexible, and highly organizedServant leader mindset with excellent communication and problem-solving skillsCompensation and Benefits :
