Salary Range : $144,631.20 – $180,789
Job Summary : The Lead Engineer, Cloud and Generative AI (Artificial Intelligence) is the Subject Matter Expert (SME) responsible for designing, implementing, and managing scalable cloud infrastructure solutions on AWS and Azure to support cutting‑edge Generative AI applications. The role requires close collaboration with data scientists and AI researchers to deploy and optimize AI models, ensuring security, reliability, and performance of cloud‑based AI systems. The incumbent will utilize Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform to automate cloud infrastructure provisioning and management, provide technical leadership and mentorship, and stay current with the latest advancements in AWS, Azure, and Generative AI.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and manage scalable cloud infrastructure solutions on AWS and Azure.
- Collaborate with data scientists and AI researchers to deploy and optimize AI models.
- Ensure security, reliability, and performance of cloud‑based AI systems.
- Utilize Terraform for infrastructure as code (IaC) automation.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to team members.
- Stay current with advancements in AWS, Azure, and Generative AI.
- Troubleshoot and resolve cloud infrastructure and AI model deployment issues.
- Document best practices, processes, and procedures.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field and a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience (or an equivalent combination of education and experience).Demonstrated experience designing and implementing large‑scale complex network solutions.Three or more years of AI experience.Proven experience as a Cloud Engineer with strong knowledge of AWS and Azure cloud platforms.Proficiency in machine learning (ML) and AI models.Experience in Generative AI and frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or similar.Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or .NET.Experience with containerization and orchestration tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).Hands‑on experience with Terraform for Infrastructure as Code (IaC).Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to work in a fast‑paced, collaborative environment.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Demonstrated expertise in vector databases and their application within the GenAI framework.Desirable knowledge of AI Agents through orchestrators.Desirable knowledge of frameworks such as Langchain, Semantic Kernel, Spring AI.Preferred Qualifications
Five years of AI experience.Certifications in AWS and Azure technologies (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect Expert).Seniority Level
