JOB SUMMARY AND QUALIFICATIONS :
The Clinical Therapist supports people in recovery from substance use. You'll work with each resident to create a service plan that helps them manage and improve their lives. You'll provide regular therapy services - including individual, group, and family sessions - as well as case management and referrals. You'll also help with daily program operations and respond to crises when needed. Some on-call and after-hours work is required.
WHAT YOU SHOULD HAVE FOR THIS ROLE :
This position requires at least a Master's degree in social work or a related field, along with one of the following certifications : CSW, MFT, or LCPA. Preference is given to candidates with a clinical license, such as LCSW, LMFT, or LPCC. It's also preferred that candidates have completed a practicum focused on behavioral health and substance use.
Applicants must have experience providing clinical services, including communication, casework, and billing with Kentucky Medicaid. The therapist will serve women, children, and families who may be dealing with behavioral health or substance use concerns.
The role calls for knowledge and skills in the following areas :
Compassion and respect for people living with behavioral health challenges, Hepatitis C, and HIV / AIDS are essential. You must be able to learn and follow all agency, staff, and program policies. You should also understand current treatment methods and be able to train and supervise social work interns.
