American Traveler is seeking an experienced Ultrasound Technologist for night shifts requiring RDMS-AB certification, BLS, and EPIC experience.
\n \n Responsibilities\n
Position is in a hospital setting on the general ultrasound unitNight shifts : Wednesday 6 : 30 PM – 5 : 00 AM, Thursday 5 : 30 PM – 4 : 00 AM, Friday / Saturday 6 : 30 PM – 5 : 00 AMNo call is required for this assignmentCovers adult, emergency department, portable, and outpatient casesProcedures include abdominal, pelvic, OB / GYN, small parts, limited vascular, and ultrasound-guided interventions such as biopsies and drain placementsEquipment used includes Acuson and Samsung RS85 systems, with PACS and Siemens preferredEPIC EMR experience is requiredAll travelers may float to any campus within the health system if neededDuties include performing a wide range of diagnostic ultrasound studies and assisting with procedures in the OR, such as D&C, D&E, and prostate biopsiesPediatric, infant, and limited OB experience is preferred but not requiredCandidates must be flexible with scheduling and adhere to a zero-tolerance policy for tardiness and unexcused absencesNo planned time off can interfere with compliance or onboarding requirementsAll education will be verified by a third party; specific schools may be excluded based on diploma fraud auditsScrub color or dress code will be communicated upon assignmentModules required during orientation and are not included in billable hours\n \n Requirements\n
Minimum of 1 year experience as a general ultrasound technologist requiredRDMS-AB certification is requiredRDMS-OB or RVT certifications are preferredCurrent BLS certification requiredExperience with adult and ED exams, portable and outpatient ultrasounds requiredProficiency with general abdominal, renal, GYN, small parts, limited OB, and limited vascular studies requiredExperience performing ultrasound-guided procedures such as biopsies, FNAs, drain placements, paracentesis, and thoracentesis requiredProficiency with EPIC EMR requiredFamiliarity with Acuson and Samsung RS85 preferredMust not reside within 50 miles of the facility (no local candidates accepted)License required if applicable\n Benefits\n
