Tax Director

Base pay range
$180,000 – $220,000 per year

Responsibilities
- Oversee the tax planning, compliance, and audit functions of the organization.
- Manage the preparation and review of federal and state income tax returns for high‑net‑worth individuals, partnerships, and corporations.
- Provide strategic tax advice and planning for all necessary federal and state taxes.
- Manage ASC 740 processes and ensure accurate and timely reporting.
- Review and manage the preparation of partnership tax returns (1065).
- Develop and implement effective tax strategies to minimize tax liabilities and ensure compliance with tax laws.
- Collaborate with other department heads to align internal strategies.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A CPA, MST, or JD / LLM is highly preferred.Minimum of 10 years of progressive tax experience in public accounting or a combination of corporate and public accounting.Strong knowledge of ASC 740, partnership tax returns (1065), and state tax matters.Proven experience with tax planning, compliance, and audit for high‑net‑worth individuals and partnerships.Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to manage and mentor a team.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Strong analytical abilities and attention to detail.Ability to stay current with the latest industry trends and tax law changes.Benefits
