Garfield County Hospital is looking for someone to join our team as a laundry worker. We are a critical access hospital that focuses on caring for generations. Summary

  • Tends laundering machines to wash, fold, deliver and / or place articles such as towels, blankets, spreads, rags, wiping cloths, mop heads and personal clothing items.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following and other duties may be assigned :

  • Sorts and loads articles into washer and adds specified amount of detergent, soap, or other cleaning agent.
  • Lifts clean, wet articles from washer and places them successively into dryers for measured time cycles.
  • Sorts articles according to type.
  • Delivers laundered personal clothing items to the appropriate patient room with attention to detail.
  • Folds and places cleaned items in appropriate locations throughout the facility including but not limited to the Emergency Department, patient rooms and hallway clean linen closets.
  • The laundry worker reports any equipment / cleaning product needs or malfunctions to Supervisor in a timely fashion.
  • Worker is required to adhere to all safety precautions regarding detergents and cleaning agents and regular workplace safety precautions.
  • The laundry worker will be responsible for keeping the laundry work areas clean, sanitized and in good order throughout the shift and at end of day.
