Overview :
Under the general direction of the Maintenance Manager / Plant Manager this position is responsible for supporting various maintenance functions including but not limited to : troubleshooting running equipment, modifications to existing equipment, preventative and predictive maintenance, and continuous improvement initiatives. A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required. The position will require flexible hours at the weekends. Must be able to work overtime.
Responsibilities :
Strong, relentless and consistent focus on safetyConducting routine inspections of premises and equipmentPerforming preventative maintenance and making repairs to OEM stateHandling basic repairs and maintenance of equipment and throughout facilityOverseeing contractors when professional repairs are necessaryDiagnosing mechanical issues and correcting themRepairing machines, equipment, or structures as necessaryAbility to communicate and take direction from technical supportAbility to maintain focus while working while working independentlyMaintain a safe and clean work environmentOther duties as assignedKnowledge / Skills / Abilities :
Proven maintenance experience, such as repairs associated with pneumatic, electrical and some hydraulic systemsSkilled in the use of hand and power toolsAbility to take apart machines, equipment, or devices to remove and replace defective partsAbility to check / read blueprints, repair manuals, parts breakdowns and pneumatic and electrical drawings as necessaryAbility to use common tools such as calipers, tape measures, multimeter, hammers, hoists, saws, drills, and wrenchesForklift, man lift and associated safety equipment experience, requiredExperience with precision measuring instruments or electronic testing devicesCNC equipment experiences preferredSoftware and program loading experience preferredWelding and metal fabrication experience preferredStrong organizational, follow up, and communication skills and extreme eye for detailStrong time management skills, maintaining an active work list and timely completion of work assignmentsAbility to speak, read, and write English with proficiencyAbility to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memosRegular attendance and timeliness is an essential function of the job to avoid any disruptions in production and customer service.Follow all operational and safety SOP's as writtenQualifications :
A minimum of 5 years of industrial maintenance service in a production environmentElectrical experience needed in 480 / 230 / 120VAC 3 phase, services, DC control circuits, troubleshooting circuits, motor starters, lighting, and control wiringMust be familiar with Allen Bradley and Mitsubishi PLC'sPneumatic understanding of manufacturing machinery requiredMust have experience with hydraulic pumps and hosesAbility to weld with mig / tig and stick machine preferredProper use of torch rig, electrical hand tools, grinders, drill motors, die grinders, porta band, bench grinder, hydraulic press brake, vertical and horizontal bandsaw and drill pressMust be able to lift 60+ lbs.Must be able to climb a ladder and work in high areas including use of manlift up to 35 feetAbility to work well independently, as well as part of a teamThe ability to work accurately, thoroughly and meet deadlinesCMMS experience preferredMust be able to control and manage spare parts cribMust have a high school diploma or general education degree (GED) Technical education is a plusBilingual Spanish / English is a plusThis position requires a self-motivated individual who can work independently and be always highly alert.Our Benefits :
