About The Position
Job Title : Ultrasound Technologist
Profession : Diagnostic Imaging
Specialty : Vascular Technologist, Ultrasound Technologist General
Duration : 13 weeks
Shift : Part-Time
Hours per Shift : Up to 30 hours per week, either 8 or 10 hour days
Experience : Minimum of 2 years
License : RVT registration preferred
Certifications : RDMS (AB, OB-GYN) preferred, BLS required
Must-Have : Graduate from an accredited school of ultrasound
Description :
The Ultrasound Technologist shall perform general, abdominal / OB-Gyn, and vascular studies.
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each responsibility satisfactorily.
Duties / Responsibilities may include but are not limited to the following :
Perform high quality general ultrasound including abdomen, OB / GYN, and vascular studies.
Competently set up and assist radiologists.
Work with EMRs to generate and complete exam orders.
Perform, record, and analyze QC data to maintain accuracy and precision.
Maintain a safe and efficient working environment by performing equipment checks and cleaning the work area.
Monitor temperatures in accordance with regulatory agencies and policies.
Regular attendance is required, including clocking in and out at scheduled times.
Maintain clinical competency and current professional knowledge through education and training.
Contact service personnel and notify supervisors of malfunctioning equipment.
Transport patients as necessary.
Knowledge of PACS systems and releasing / transmitting images is essential.
Inform personnel of department supply needs to ensure uninterrupted testing.
Collaborate with other departments to improve patient and staff experiences.
Recommend process improvements for increased efficiencies.
Display and promote company values.
Other duties as assigned.
