Your Role : As a Certified Medical Assistant, you will provide essential clinical and clerical services while delivering outstanding customer service. You will be responsible for rooming patients, assisting with exams and procedures, and conducting waived lab tests.
Key Responsibilities :
Organize patient care to ensure timely visits by monitoring physician schedules.Act as a point of contact for daily clinic operations, managing issues and escalating when necessary.Support relationship-based care and uphold accountability for our mission and values.Facilitate training sessions, review patient care protocols, and ensure compliance with infection prevention guidelines.Work collaboratively with healthcare teams to implement best practices, maintaining high standards of care.Collect and prepare laboratory specimens.Room patients and document vital signs, patient history, and reasons for visits, adhering to nursing protocols.Assist physicians in examinations and procedures with clear communication for quality care.Audit ordered tests to ensure timely receipt and follow-up of results.Monitor medical supplies and equipment, reporting needs to leadership.Oversee office staff duties, manage operational issues, and ensure adherence to regulatory and customer service standards.Contribute to achieving hospital and departmental goals through teamwork.Provide direct patient care and lead front-line staff in day-to-day clinical operations.Qualifications :
High School Diploma or equivalent required.Preferred : Technical / Vocational School Graduate from a medical assistant program.Preferred : One or more years of relevant work experience.Bilingual candidates in English / Spanish or English / Polish preferred.Required skills : Vital signs, phlebotomy, vaccinations, body substance isolation, specimen collection.Strong phone skills and organizational abilities.Basic Life Support - CPR Certification required.Certification from one of the following : American Association Medical Assistants (AAMA), American Medical Technologists (AMT), National Center for Competency Testing-Medical Assistant (NCCT), or National Healthcareer Association (NHA), or ARMA.This facility is an equal opportunity employer and adheres to all relevant laws, ensuring a workplace free from discrimination.
