Job Summary and Qualifications
The Clinical Nurse Coordinator (CNC) is responsible for delivering top-notch, patient-centered care and overseeing all unit functions during their shift. Collaborating with management, the CNC directs, evaluates, and enhances nursing care according to established policies and strives for excellence in patient experience and clinical outcomes.
Key Responsibilities :
Facilitates the admission and discharge processes for efficient patient care.Involved in quality assessment for patient care services alongside management.Promotes teamwork among staff to enhance service and outcomes.Adopts a patient-first philosophy and engages in service recovery initiatives.Contributes to nursing strategies to enhance employee engagement and ensures high standards of patient care.Participates in staff interviews, selection, training, and performance evaluations.Assists in staff scheduling based on patient care requirements.Maintains inventory control and manages supplies and equipment.Qualifications Required :
Minimum 1 year clinical nursing experience as a Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (RN).Education :
Associate's degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited program.Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is preferred.Licenses and Certifications :
Current Texas RN license or Compact RN license (must obtain Texas license within 90 days of hire).Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) or Advanced Life Support (ALS) certification required.Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification required.Registered Nurse, Certified in Inpatient Obstetrics (RNC-OB) is preferred.St. David's North Austin Medical Center is a full-service, 460+ bed, multi-specialty acute care hospital known for providing advanced women's health services, including comprehensive maternity and newborn care.
