The Lead Recovery Associate is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the Women’s Transitional Living Program and supervising Recovery Associates. The typical shift for this role is 3pm to 11pm. This position is ideal for individuals passionate about recovery, mental health, and leadership in behavioral healthcare. The Lead Recovery Associate is accountable for ensuring staff deliver high-quality services, that the program maintains compliance with organizational and regulatory standards, and that the residence provides a safe and supportive environment for clients.
This role requires supervisory skills, professionalism, emotional intelligence, and a commitment to structure, accountability, and community. The Lead Recovery Associate plays an active role in both client support and staff development, bridging direct care responsibilities with supervisory oversight.

Key Responsibilities
Staff Supervision
- Supervise, schedule, and support Recovery Associates to ensure consistent, professional, and mission-aligned client care.
- Provide coaching and feedback to staff and participate in performance discussions with program leadership.
- Support training and onboarding of new staff to promote team development.
- Serve as the first point of escalation for staff concerns and operational issues within the residence.
Program Oversight
Oversee daily operations of the residence, ensuring adherence to all safety, compliance, and program protocols.Monitor documentation, reporting, and communication standards for accuracy and timeliness.Coordinate communication between Recovery Associates, clinical staff, and program leadership.Identify program needs and provide input on operational improvements.Safety & Compliance
Oversee administration of drug and BAC testing in accordance with program protocols.Ensure proper procedures for room searches, contraband monitoring, and medication management.Respond to crises with leadership, activating protocols and emergency services when necessary.Ensure compliance with organizational policies and state / federal regulations.Client & Community Leadership
Foster a safe, respectful, and supportive living environment for residents.Model professionalism, accountability, and positive communication for both staff and clients.Oversee integration of new admissions and transitions, ensuring smooth onboarding.Support structured community culture by participating in groups, activities, and community events as needed.Administrative & Team Support
Manage staff schedules and coverage to ensure 24 / 7 support of the residence.Attend supervisory meetings and contribute to program development and decision-making.Ensure facility standards in cleanliness, safety, and presentation.Provide feedback to program leadership on staffing, client progress, and operational needs.Manage staff during the evenings and / or weekends.Requirements
Experience supervising a teamPrevious experience in recovery or behavioral health settingsKnowledge of substance use, mental health, or peer recovery support.Strong interpersonal skills and emotional intelligence.Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to navigate sensitive conversations with professionalism and empathyComfortable working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.Benefits
