Med / Surg RN Job Details Location : Phoenix, AZ 85006 (Arizona nursing jobs) Assignment Type : Travel, On-Site Start Date : November 3, 2025 End Date : February 2, 2026 Duration : 13 weeks Shift : 12-hour night shifts (3 shifts / week, 36 hours / week) Estimated Weekly Pay : $1570 - $1680 per week Openings : 2 Med / Surg RN positions available Registered Nurse Qualifications Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (Arizona or compact state) BLS Certification (required prior to first shift) ACLS Certification (required prior to first shift) Minimum 1 year of recent clinical experience in a Medical-Surgical (Med / Surg) or acute care setting Strong assessment, communication, and organizational skills Med / Surg RN Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive nursing assessments for all patients within 8 hours of admission Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with patients, families, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams Accurately document assessments, interventions, and patient responses in the electronic medical record Participate in patient rehabilitation programs and deliver direct patient care using the nursing process Initiate discharge planning and patient education from the day of admission Communicate changes in patient status to the healthcare team to ensure continuity and patient safety Supervise and mentor Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs), Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs), and new staff Maintain a safe environment by following hospital safety policies and procedures Promote teamwork and participate in unit team-building activities Assume charge nurse responsibilities as needed after orientation Engage in ongoing professional development and continuing education Experience the benefits of travel nursing in Phoenix, AZ, and make a positive impact on patient care.
