Overview
The Department of Pediatrics and The Division of Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition at the University of Minnesota seeks a board-certified / eligible Pediatric Gastroenterologist at the Assistant or Associate Professor rank on an academic track to join the Pediatric Gastroenterology team. The team is currently comprised of six Pediatric Gastroenterology physicians and two Pediatric Gastroenterology Nurse Practitioners.

About the Division
The Division plays an integral role in hepatology and liver transplantation, hosting one of the longest-standing liver transplant programs in the United States. The Division is home to a nationally-recognized division addressing chronic and acute recurrent pancreatitis in children. Our research portfolio includes clinical research in gastrointestinal complications of cystic fibrosis, inflammatory bowel disease, food insecurity, sarcopenia and chronic pancreatitis. The Division maintains high ambitions for excellence in patient services, teaching, and research.

The mission of the Department of Pediatrics is to generate new knowledge through research, apply this knowledge to high-quality health care for prevention and treatment of childhood illness, and educate the next generation of medical students, physicians, and health professionals in childhood disease prevention, treatment, research, and advocacy. The Department aims to improve the lives of children in the community, nation, and world.
Qualifications
Pay and Benefits
This role is dually employed by University of Minnesota Physicians and the University of Minnesota. Total salary is market competitive based on AAMC salary benchmarks. Clinical salary, aligned with clinical effort, is provided through M Physicians. The base salary range is $199,000–$306,500, commensurate with experience, qualifications, and clinical effort. Salary from the University depends on academic effort.
