As a Patient Care Technician (PCT) at US Renal Care, you will play a vital role in a dedicated team focused on delivering exceptional care to patients facing renal failure. Working under the guidance of a Registered Nurse (RN) or Charge Nurse (CN), you will be integral in providing crucial treatment and support.

Your key responsibilities include :

  • Direct Patient Care : Engage with patients to provide safe, comfortable, and high-quality dialysis treatments. This involves collecting vital patient statistics, initiating and monitoring treatments, terminating sessions, and gathering blood samples as directed by physicians.
  • Technical Duties : Prepare dialysis machines for treatment and ensure they are properly cleaned and disinfected after use. Conduct safety checks and log results to maintain high-quality standards and compliance with regulations.
  • Safety and Compliance : Utilize appropriate safety measures, including personal protective equipment, and adhere strictly to all company policies and legal requirements. Participate in staff meetings and ongoing education initiatives.

What we seek in candidates :

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • A passion for healthcare and patient care.
  • Previous healthcare experience, especially in dialysis, phlebotomy, or as a CNA, is advantageous.
  • Comfort with mixing medical solutions according to established protocols.
  • Ability to distinguish all primary colors.
  • Additional Requirements :

  • Complete the approved USRC training program, including competency demonstrations within the first 8 weeks of employment.
  • CPR certification is required within 90 days of hire or as per state regulations.
  • Obtain Patient Care Technician certification through a recognized state or national program within 18 months of hire and maintain it in good standing.
