American Traveler is seeking a CT Technologist with at least 2 years of recent hospital experience and ARRT (CT) certification to join our imaging team.
\n \n Responsibilities\n
Position is based in a hospital CT department, with possible assignments in a fixed unit or ambulatory mobile unitPerforms computerized tomographic radiological procedures and general diagnostic radiology as neededPrimarily third shift schedule Monday through Friday, 6 : 00pm to 6 : 30am, with one weekend per month requiredBlock scheduling not permittedNo call requiredCandidates may be required to float to a nearby sister hospitalResponsibilities include preparing and positioning patients, explaining procedures, administering IV contrast using power injectors, and performing sterile techniques for procedures such as biopsiesOperate and maintain imaging equipment, ensure image quality, and practice radiation safety principlesResponsible for image management via PACS and study documentation in the Radiology Information System (RIS)Will transport patients to and from the ED as neededMust demonstrate strong communication, customer service, flexibility, and a collaborative approachExposure to radiation, high voltage equipment, and potentially contagious patients is possibleMust lift / move equipment or patients occasionally in excess of 10 lbsReport to the lab for drug screen within 24 hours of commitment; onboarding timelines are firm and affect start dateTime-off requests must be submitted with initial application; additional requests post-offer will be discussed on assignment\n \n Requirements\n
Active MI license required if applicableCurrent ARRT registration in Radiologic Technology and advanced registry in CT (or registry-eligible)BLS certification from AHA requiredMinimum of 2 years of recent experience as a CT Technologist in a hospital settingAssociates degree in Applied Science in Radiology or higherPrior experience in a fast-paced environment and ability to work independentlyPeripheral IV insertion experience or willing to obtain trainingMust complete online modules and pass required tests prior to startCOVID vaccination required\n Benefits\n
