Job description

This is a great opportunity to support a senior living company and develop more human resources skills. This position will also coordinate new hire orientations and track new hire training requirements. In-office position based in Meridian, ID.

This position pays $20.00-22.00 per hour DOE

The onboarding specialist is responsible for coordinating, executing, and actively managing onboarding activities for new hires from offer acceptance through their first day of employment. The onboarding specialist will also assist with the employee separation process. This position will also assist with other general HR work as needed.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Move new hires through the onboarding process, ensuring completion of new hire paperwork
  • Work within the systems of records with input and updates
  • Coordinate with operations to ensure proper company access to new hires
  • Properly direct new hire paperwork to managers as well as separation forms
  • Monitor electronic onboarding completion
  • Assist with entering new hires into Sling and Bridge; remove employees from platforms upon separation
  • Upload compensation adjustment documents into HRIS
  • Assist with office phone calls
  • Assist with employment verifications as needed

ADDITIONAL DUTIES

  • Assist employees with any HR-related questions / concerns
  • Leads and participates in projects and administrative support as needed
  • Complete monthly, quarterly, and annual reports as required
  • Assists with the creation and distribution of informational material (internal newsletters, calendars, flyers, etc.) as needed
  • Other duties as assigned by management
  • JOB SPECIFICATIONS

  • Associate’s Degree in Human Resources, Business or related field; or two years Human Resources experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Must have a positive and personable demeanor
  • Must be able to effectively use and troubleshoot basic computer problems
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel
  • Must be familiar with HIPAA and general employment laws
  • Must be self-motivated and have strong time management skills
  • Excellent organizational skills
