Job Title: Construction Engineer Job Description As a Construction Engineer, you will provide on-site oversight and management of construction projects. You will monitor and ensure compliance with project specifications, schedules, and budgets. You will coordinate with contractors, clients, and project stakeholders, conduct field inspections, and prepare detailed reports. You will review and interpret engineering plans and specifications, ensure adherence to safety standards and regulatory requirements, and support project documentation and progress tracking. Effective communication with county and Department of Transportation (DOT) clients is essential.

- IDOT Documentation of Contract Quantities certification.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience with tollway and IDOT projects.
Additional Skills & Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Construction Management.
- Familiarity with project documentation, record-keeping, and compliance tracking.
- Ability to collaborate effectively within a team and work independently when needed.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Valid U.S. driver's license.
Work Environment This role offers the flexibility to work both in the field and office, or solely focus on office duties as a documentation tech. The individual will be working on IDOT/Tollway projects, with potential for CDOT and county work in the future, with about 90% of the work being IDOT-related. The team consists of 10 bridge projects and multiple inspectors. A company vehicle, 2023 or newer, will be provided for both personal and professional use, along with a gas card and maintenance coverage. Field offices are established for each project, eliminating the need to work from the main office. The position offers an opportunity for a hybrid role with 50% office work if desired

Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $61651.00 - $98737.60/yr.
