Manager Of Logistics Operations
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced individual to join our team as a Manager of Logistics Operations. This leadership position involves driving the development and optimizing Logistics Operations processes to enhance efficiency and cost-effectiveness through strong partnership and mentorship.
Responsibilities :
Lead Parcel, Mail & Operations Team
Support Logistics process improvements with a focus on execution and efficiency
Assist with development, testing and rollout of a Logistics Management System
Team Leadership :
Lead, mentor, and inspire our Parcel and Mail Operations Team
Foster a collaborative and results-driven team culture.
Act as a key liaison between Field and Home Office Logistics, with a focus on Parcel and Mail Operations to drive coordination and efficiency
Contribute to the development and creation of training materials and communication tools.
Assist in training teams on the effective use of reporting tools and analytics.
Reporting Design, Development and Troubleshooting :
Utilize in-depth knowledge and analytics experience to develop actionable insights.
Contributing to the design, development, and continuous improvement of systems across the Logistics organization
Troubleshoot reporting escalations and implement solutions for continuous improvement
Process Improvement :
Apply best practices and leverage internal or external business processes to enhance products and services within Logistics Operations
Analyze cost / benefit scenarios for consolidation opportunities and shipping methods.
Manage the testing, introduction and implementation of new product and / or process solution and options to continuously improve our customer and Associate experience.
Be an ADKAR champion; weaving exceptional change management and communication into every change we test and roll out.
Project Management :
Demonstrate strong project management skills to execute initiatives successfully.
Drive projects from inception to completion, ensuring timelines and objectives are met.
Build robust internal partnerships essential for project success.
Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with CarMax third-party vendors to ensure seamless collaboration and service delivery.
Strong ability required to evaluate ad-hoc requests as proposed by CarMax Store locations, Home Office, and Home Office extensions.
Work Location and Arrangement : This role will be based out of the Richmond Virginia Home Office.
Work Authorization : Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis. Sponsorship will not be considered for this specific role.
Qualifications :
Four-year degree in Business or equivalent preferred
Exceptional analysis and decision-making skills.
3+ years of strong leadership skills, with a track record of successfully leading and motivating teams.
Expert level MS Office applications Excel, Word and PowerPoint required
Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Project management experience, including the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, preferred
