Hybrid Accounting Clerk - Aurora, ILLHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking an accounting professional for a hybrid Accounting Clerk opportunity in Aurora, IL. This role is ideal for someone with at least one year of accounting experience who is looking to grow in a supportive environment. Training is onsite, followed by a hybrid schedule.
What you'll do
• Support daily accounting functions such as data entry, basic journal entries, invoice processing, and reconciliations
• Assist with month-end close by gathering documentation and preparing simple schedules
• Use Excel to organize data, create pivot tables, and run basic lookups
• Enter transactions and support routine tasks in SAP (training provided if needed)
• Work with AP/AR teams to resolve straightforward discrepancies
• Maintain organized financial records and assist with audit requests
What you bring
• At least one year of accounting-related experience (internships count)
• Solid understanding of basic accounting principles
• SAP exposure or experience is a plus, not required
• Intermediate Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, sorting/filtering)
• Strong attention to detail and eagerness to learn
Schedule and workstyle
• Training: Onsite in Aurora
• After training: Hybrid schedule
• Summer hours: Early-close Fridays during summer months
Compensation
• $24-$26 per hour, based on experience
