Job descriptionPerform ophthalmologic surgeries (e.g., cataracts, eyelid procedures) Conduct pre- and post-operative assessments Deliver high-quality patient care in a multidisciplinary environment Maintain accurate clinical documentation and follow hospital protocols Monday–Friday, 8 : 00 AM – 4 : 00 PM No weekend or on-call duties Start date : ASAP through end of the year Proficiency in ophthalmic surgical procedures Strong communication and collaboration abilities Board Certification in Ophthalmology – Required Active Maine Medical License or IMLC Eligibility – Required Surgical Experience (especially cataracts, eyelid surgery) – Preferred Adjust your work schedule to accommodate personal commitments, hobbies, or pursuits outside of medicine, promoting a balanced and fulfilling lifestyle. - A community hospital in Damariscotta, ME is seeking a Board-Certified Surgical Ophthalmologist for a full-time locum position. The need arises from an unexpected provider leave. Providers interested in part-time or fractional coverage will also be considered. This is a no-call, Monday–Friday (8 : 00 AM – 4 : 00 PM) role in a collaborative and well-supported clinical setting.
