Job Description :

The Electrical Engineering Manager reports to the Senior Manager of Aerospace Engineering and will manage / direct the day-to-day operations of an Electrical Engineering Team (approximate group size of 8). The group is responsible for the design and integration of aircraft systems. Responsibilities include the design and liaison of using military and commercial design standards, customer specifications, and system requirements documents using CAD. Must be experienced in engineering drawing preparation and interpretation as well as providing leadership review of designs / drawings. The group is primarily responsible for the design and liaison activities related to the aircraft electrical wiring interconnect systems (EWIS), including those associated with electrical racks and external antennas.

The role is responsible for job assignments, manpower estimates, project and engineering status, project bid support, employee training, goals and reviews, and management of overhead budgets. The role is also responsible for ensuring compliance to company processes relating to designs and those processes are periodically reviewed for improvement or currency. The manager sets the highest ethical standards for self and others, commits to Continuous Improvement initiatives and drives positive change throughout the group.

Essential Functions :

• Planning, scheduling, and budgeting tasks for the team.
• Design and liaison of aircraft systems utilizing military and commercial design standards, customer specifications, and system requirements documents utilizing CAD.
• Provide liaison to production and manufacturing for interpretation of engineering design / drawings.
• Sets the highest ethical standards for self and others.
• Other duties as assigned.
