Tax Accountant Position

As a Tax Accountant, you will be responsible for analyzing, preparing, and submitting tax related documentation. You will also assist with providing guidance on financial and tax related matters. Primary responsibilities include :

• Assisting with preparation and filing of monthly, quarterly, and annual sales and use tax returns.
• Reviewing customer transactions generated by ERP System which will require monthly oversight through the nontax report.
• Developing ad-hoc reports using MS Excel.
• Assisting in on-boarding process for new sales tax compliance, including set-up of returns software and internal technology tools to manage process.
• Responding to sales tax and taxability questions from operations.
• Providing support for indirect tax audits and / or notices.
• Reconciling sales tax data including general ledger accounts.
• Ensuring compliance for business license and tax registration. This includes completing licensing applications (new and renewal) and compiling the necessary financial data required to support the application.

Who We Are Looking For : To be successful in this position you should have a thorough knowledge of sales and use tax and have strong relational and system skills. You should possess a strong sense of urgency and desire to provide superior customer service. The ability to take direction and work in a team environment is essential to this position as well.

Education / Experience : Bachelor's degree with major in Accounting or a relevant field. Minimum of 3 years' experience as a tax accountant or similar role.
