Work Shift

Various (United States of America) Job Summary : This position may work in one of the following modalities : Diagnostic, CT, IR, Mammography, MRI, or Nuclear Medicine.Duties will be consistent with the modality in which incumbent will be working. Candidates must meet the requirementsof the modality in which they will be working. This position will report to the modality manager. Core Responsibilities and Essential Functions : Demonstrates sound knowledge in the performance of assigned modality imaging while adhering todepartment protocol and standards and applies the principles of ALARA to minimize exposure to patients,self and others.Performs imaging exams consistent to assigned modality in a variety of settings. Evaluates images fortechnical quality, performs post processing of data and ensures proper patient identification is recorded.Provides optimal patient care and assumes responsibility for the patient's needs during their proceduresand exemplifies the philosophy of Patient Family Centered care to all.Applies the principles of patient safety during all aspects of patient care and identifies and responds toemergency situations in an appropriate manner. Strictly adheres to the principles of aseptic technique andhand washing policies.Assists the Radiologist with procedures and protocols.Other duties as assigned.Performs other duties as assignedComplies with all Wellstar Health System policies, standards of work, and code of conduct. Required Minimum Education :

• High School Diploma General or GED General
• Accredited Program Radiologic Technology

Required Minimum License(s) and Certification(s) : All certifications are required upon hire unless otherwise stated.

Additional License(s) and Certification(s) : Required Minimum Experience : Minimum 1 year Experience in Radiology Preferred Required Minimum Skills : Ability to operate appropriate modality imaging equipment based on departmentAbility to communicate verbally and writtenPossess excellent patient / customer service skills
