EAD Engineering is looking for an experienced Project Manager / Construction Manager for projects in industrial, processing, institutional and commercial facilities. The Project Manager / Construction Manager is responsible for leading cross-functional teams of process / business experts, engineers, and designers to deliver client projects on time, on budget and in scope. They are also the primary point of contact for new clients from closing the sale to successful project execution.
Responsibilities
- Ensure projects are delivered under budget, within schedule, within the agreed-to scope and with great customer experience
- Lead small teams consisting of various engineering disciplines and other project support personnel
- Responsible for maintaining appropriate project documentation in the proper locations
- Manage client's project expectations and requirements
- Understand and perform critical path analysis
- Sign client / firm agreement, if legally qualified within the limits of EAD signatory policy
- Maintains understanding of project financial issues
- Authorizes billing to client
- Responsible for project reporting including resource utilization and project profitability
- Accountable for project costs, schedules, performance and safety
- Responsible for communications, escalations and resolving complex client issues
- Act as single point of contact to the client, senior-level project managers and company executives
- Tracking and delivering project metrics
- Mentoring and coaching team members
- Report into senior and executive management
- Lead multiple, large, multi-disciplinary projects
- Responsible for adhering to all EAD's safety standards and practices
- Lead preparation of proposals including scope definition, schedule development and budget estimates
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Requirements :
Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Chemical, Construction, or Civil Engineering and six years of relevant working experience with advanced knowledge in mechanical engineering, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experienceSix years of experience in project management / execution with an understanding of standard project management processes / proceduresPMP certified or committed to obtain the certification within 12 monthsHigh level interpersonal skills, tact, and diplomacyAbility to manage small to large projectsProficient in executing fast tracked projectsStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsAbility to meet project deadlinesScope management and client management skillsEngineering consulting firm experienceExcellent communication skills, both verbal and written, while being capable of interacting effectively with plant operations from the maintenance level through and including the executive levelMust have a proven track record of accomplishments as a project manager or lead engineer on industrial projects and be capable of supervising and directing a team of engineers, contractors, and vendorsWorking knowledge of excel including macrosSelf-starter with strong attention to detailAbility to multi-task while working on numerous projects simultaneously at various stages of completionAbility to develop business opportunitiesPossess and able to maintain a valid driver's licenseComputer proficiency with Microsoft Office, MS Project requiredPreferred Certifications and skills :
Experience in working with food manufacturing, life sciences, bioprocess and / or petrochemical companies, construction of large industrial plants, or power stations will be advantageousWorking Conditions :
