Position Summary
The Division of Liver Transplantation and Hepatobiliary-Pancreatic Surgery at Weill Cornell Medicine is seeking a motivated Physician Assistant to join our dynamic multidisciplinary team. This position offers a diverse and rewarding experience including 2-3 days per week in the operating room assisting in complex liver and pancreas procedures, as well as active involvement in outpatient clinical care. The PA will work closely alongside another experienced surgical PA and the attending surgeons to provide seamless, team-based care across the continuum-from pre-operative evaluation to postoperative follow-up. This role provides a unique opportunity to be part of the one nation’s leading academic liver and pancreas surgical programs while developing advanced surgical and perioperative skills in a collaborative environment.
The PA is be considered the nucleus of the team that would coordinate all aspects of the patient's care preoperatively and postoperatively while managing their postoperative course and trouble-shooting any issues or complications that could arise in the outpatient setting.
Educational opportunities are available with CME conferences, weekly departmental meetings, and participation in the Liver Tumor Board by organizing and presenting complex cases in a multidisciplinary setting.
