Job description

Are you driven by a desire to help others achieve their financial dreams? Do you aspire to build a rewarding career guiding clients toward their long-term financial objectives? At Fisher Investments, we are excited to cultivate our next generation of investment professionals through the Wealthbuilder Investment Counselor role.

The Opportunity :

The Wealthbuilder Investment Counselor position serves as a fantastic entry point into a fulfilling career in financial services. With our comprehensive training program, you will receive an extensive education in finance and capital markets, laying the groundwork for our unique investment approach.

Your journey begins with obtaining your Series 65 license, supported by hands-on training from our dedicated team. After achieving licensure, your learning continues as you work closely with your mentor to gain deep insights into the technology and platforms we utilize to serve our clients effectively.

This role paves the way for advancement into a licensed service position within our Private Client Group. As you achieve key milestones in your first two years, you can expect to take on more responsibilities, with the potential to join our Premier Wealth Management team, where you will manage your own portfolio of high-net-worth clients.

Your Day-to-Day Responsibilities :

  • Collaborate with your team to support clients while acting as the link between our Investment Policy Committee (IPC) and U.S. clients.
  • Engage with clients to assess their asset allocation and ensure alignment with their long-term financial goals.
  • Establish trusting relationships, educating clients on our top-down portfolio strategy, their investments, and significant market events.
  • Handle client communications while coordinating with internal departments to address operational requests.

Your Qualifications :

  • 1+ years in an operational, administrative, client-facing, or finance role.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Willingness to obtain the Series 65 (we provide comprehensive training and support).
  • A thoughtful, consultative approach focused on client needs.
  • Compensation :

  • Base salary ranging from $80,000 - $130,000 per year. New hires typically start at the lower end of the range, depending on experience.
  • Potential for a discretionary bonus based on individual and firm performance.
  • Why Join Fisher Investments?

We are driven by a larger purpose : to enhance the investment landscape. We take pride in our inclusive culture, personalized development framework for every employee, and our Great Place to Work Certification. It’s our team that makes the Fisher mission achievable, and we invest in them by offering exceptional benefits, including :

  • 100% paid medical, dental, and vision premiums for you and your eligible dependents.
  • 50% 401(k) match, up to IRS maximum.
  • 20 days of PTO plus 10 paid holidays.
  • Family support programs, including 8 weeks of Paid Primary Caregiver Leave, $10,000 for fertility and family formation, and back-up care for children, adults, and seniors.
  • This is an in-office role, with potential eligibility for our hybrid work-from-home program based on your role, tenure, and performance.
