    We are currently seeking a Per Diem OR Surgical Technician to support our Ambulatory Surgery Center on the Near North Side at 361 W Chestnut St Suite 200, Chicago, IL 60610 This is a flexible, part-time opportunity with 2–3 shifts per week, including some weekend coverage. The pay range for this position is $29–$32 / hr.

    The OR Surgical Technician plays an essential role in supporting safe, efficient, and high-quality surgical procedures. Working alongside surgeons and nurses, the Surgical Tech is responsible for preparing the operating room, ensuring sterile technique, managing instruments and supplies, and directly assisting in fertility-related surgeries.

    How You'll Contribute :

  • Prepare the operating room and ensure all necessary equipment is properly sterilized and set up
  • Assist physicians and nurses during surgical procedures, anticipating needs and passing instruments
  • Maintain a sterile field and follow infection control protocols at all times
  • Handle and care for surgical instruments and equipment appropriately
  • Support patient care activities after, during, and after procedures as needed
  • Monitor equipment for proper function and report maintenance needs
  • Ensure accurate documentation and compliance with regulatory standards

    • Skills & Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technician program
  • Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) preferred
  • Previous experience in an operating room environment required; ASC experience preferred
  • Strong understanding of sterile technique and surgical instrumentation
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and team collaboration skills
  • Ability to remain calm, focused, and efficient in a fast-paced surgical setting
  • Must successfully complete background check, drug screen, and reference check
